How does the CWIII sound, the bass is good? If so there is no reason that the bass of the CWIVs should not be as good over time
I listened to the CW III at a friend's house.
They were very good but his living room was also very good, better than mine, better proportioned, no high ceiling. It was after listening to him at home that I decided to buy mine, but the CW III were no longer made and had been replaced by the CW IV (2000 euros more expensive). When they were delivered to my house, I was disappointed, very disappointed.
But there, they start to play better. I don't know how many hours they already have in the speaker membranes, but probably not enough yet. Anyway, it is improving, it's a good sign.
The bass of the CW III were present, fine, not too much, not too little.

My dealer told me that Klipsch was going to replace the defective grille for me. However, I have to wait for the next construction of CW IV and then delivery from the USA to my little island lost in the Indian Ocean. I hope it will be the exact same color.

I moved the speakers slightly and am listening to a David Munyon album, good recording, stripped down music, the CW IV seem to sound better. I think it takes a few more hours of listening before they start to perform better. I also put a bi-wiring (simple but better than the previous cable), the amp is still the grand maestro audio analogue.

As someone who just bought a pair of Cornwalls blind to have them shipped to me up in the Arctic, I have some sympathy for someone buying a set in Reunion Island.
Warm and cold sound !!

because of the need to place in corners or near walls
is it right the CW IV needs to be placed in corners ?

Your idea is excellent, but our friend is French and lives on the splendid Reunion Island, it is paradise for surfing, but for HiFi I doubt that there is much Klipsch Heritage on its beautiful island to go and listen to, especially beautiful and new CWIV !
it's right .. i am the only owner of CW IV on my island. The reseller has no Klipsch Heritage speakers in his shop.
I know someone who have the CW III

Yes my room is too high .. i am living on the tropic. Here,we have not much rug. We have no winter, it is very warm.
I would like to have a wooden floor but it's not my house, i only rent it.
The speaker placement is really the key and the properties of the room also.

The jumpers have been removed, I quickly made some homemade two-wire cables (with low-cost Norstone speaker cable), a small cure of 15Hz at quite reasonable volume for the break-in of the bass membrane, a few hours of operation at low volume, it remains to be confirmed but it seems that it is already better.
I put the speakers on skateboards (simply boards with casters) allowing me to move them easily and to test several positions, orientations in my living room ... to be continued

As others have noted above, most likely the problem is not the amps or the wiring or breaking in time (those are all relatively small effects). The most likely culprit is the cabinet interacting with the room. Spend some time (and it can be tedious), experimenting with the placement of both the speakers and the listener's position. Especially try them closer to a wall or two walls (corner).
Good luck,
-Tom
Yes you are right, i will also try this .. thank you to all who try to help me , and sorry for my bad american speaking .. i hope you understand me

A lot of people tell me to wait a bit, that the speakers are going to work better in a month or two. I have some doubts but I don't have much choice.
-
i will try other speaker cables and also make tests with my Vincent SP991Plus mono amps before opening the speaker.

Do the mids/highs sound normal?
mids and highs sound good, yes. The bass seems poor, behind, indented.
The bass seems coming out a little cheap box
-
yes, I bought them from a Klipsch dealer on my little Island, a store. He sells B&W, French speakers like JMLab Utopia, Elipson and others.
But it does not have heritage series speakers in store, it only makes to order.
I tried with other amps .. a Hiraga 2 x 20w class A, a denon avr3808 home cinema amplifier, I can test with 2 mono blocks VIncent SP991 more. -
You're right, at the back I still have the jumpers because my old HMS Capriccio cables (bi-wiring) are out of order for the moment.
I will try to go back to bi-wiring with 2 pairs of separate cables
My amp is 25 class A power and then 125 class AB .. that should be enough for my CW
Now my CW IV sounds like small boxes 🤥

MDJAK, what amp have you to push the Cornwall ?

Any update? Any change in the sound? Those sure are beautiful speakers. That propeller looks great in your room.
still not yet ... at the moment I'm still disappointed with the result

I just replaced RF7II with Cornwall IV and couldn’t be happier. They are incredible. Bass is fine, but I have two subs nonetheless as I use my system for music and movies. My speakers are not in a corner. The soundstage is awesome, especially the way vocals come from dead center when my center channel is not even playing. I’m super impressed. Hope you get yours sorted out. Might I suggest you get, if you don’t have it, the Sheffield Track record/cd which has some excellent bass. That will tell you if you have an issue or not.
Here’s my setup:
Hello MDJAK, which Sheffiled cd do you mean ? The sheffield lab drum record ?
Ok, i just have seen your second post .. it's the jim keltner and Ron Tute drum record ..
what amp for cornwall IV

Simply, for my curiosity, can you tell me the selling price of the CW IV in the United States?
