I  am not sure that they would share that information , unless  you owned the speaker , and even then , they may , or they may not -  the schematic is proprietary information  nonetheless   , it's not public information like a Brochure or a specs sheet

Ah damn thats too bad, really curious with it

I will be pulling the crossovers out of mine soon. Can trace it out.

These latest crossovers are constructed with very high quality parts. Nothing like motor run caps of old. Are you hoping to upgrade yours or diy one?

Hey you read my mind hehehe, yeah kindda curious on the parts itself and the design, i got pretty good result on modifying the Heresy 4, i change the same value with jantzen superior caps and sonic caps, with his TI Diafraghm, the result is very clean Heresy with better midrange response but the Chorn is just a different beast and it does have an amp and cable dependent very very much and again the corner placement does effect a lot on the mid bass and bass response

The T 500 is a 8 Ohm Speaker so requires the 8 Ohm Tubeamp outputs as well. The minimum power requirements are 20wpc . The chinese Tubeamp ( Reisong ? ) hasn´t enough power.

If it´s one of those Reisong entry models for approx. $ 300 , sorry to tell you, those are limited to 3 wpc. only.  Sell it , if possible and look for another better and more powerful tubeamp.

Thanks for the detail given, its got 97db with 20watt minimum, ive tried 8ohm to my T4000 the last gen of the Tangent its loud i mean real loud, but not with my old T500 which is weird

The issue would seem to be the Impedance setting on the amplifier  -- the amplifier is seeing the speakers as setup  on the wrong impedance setting  -

is the amp impedance setting at 8 Ohms or 4 Ohms - if 8 Ohms , the amplifier sees the speakers T500 as 4 Ohms speakers -

For optimal efficiency you would need to switch the Chinese  Amplifier  to 4  Ohms  with the Tangent T500  -

Thanks a lot and yes its on ideal level of listening now not soo quiet anymore

it's your AMP ,  you said it , I use the Chinese Amp  , I have a problem , I use another SS amp , no problem,    you want to defy the Laws of physics , you can't  -----  HeHeHe  ----

tell me ----do you have 4 ohms and 8 ohms settings on that Chinese amp  -Hehehe

Randy thanks for helping out, and yes it got 4ohm and 8ohm

    who repaired your crossovers   ,

where did you purchase these parts -----

-check the wiring/connections  of your speakers ----

are you doing the  test with the Heresy 4 using the same amplifier -

Amp tech help me do it, and i bought tje value based on stock caps, u mean the cable from crossover to tweeter, squawker and woofer, that shlouldnt be a problem cause with my adcom solid state power everything seems fine loud and clear

Yesh i use the same amp with the heresy 4

If you did a good job on replacing the capacitors in crossover, could be the amplifier is not providing enough power. Borrow a Solid State stereo amplifier/receiver to check.

Yap if i use my quicksilver and acdom power everything is normal, just when i randomly try with small class A amp its just soo quiet

  7. Hi again

So ive been trying a single ended class A 7watt chinese integrated amp, and with the 99db sensitivity this klipsch seems to be very quiet compared to my dads heresy 4 which have the same sensitivity, is there any problem with the autotrans of the crossover? Cause ive already recaps the caps recently

If i need to check or change how do i do that? With multimeter or?

    Thanks

  8. Ill reply my own question, manage to uninstall the stuffing and put in the original, yes ive notice a changes in bass, it feels lighter and resonates easily ill get back after a few hours of listening

So after extended listening and comparing tangent 4000 and tangent 500,i come to a conclusion both of them are different and one doesnt better than the other in bass department (i wont discuss the tweeter and squawker cause they do share similarities to eash other).

The T500 (after back to original stuffing) sounds more bigger and broader, the bass is rounder (due to the passive i think)and lighter (less stuffing)

The T4000 (i do stuff a lot) they have much more heavy bass i think due to the stuffings and porting, while not as wide and broad the T4000 have its own characteristic

I hope my experience can help fellow members to understand the differences between them

I realize that the T500 share similarities with the first forte

You mention new stuffing, what was used? The OEM both use sheets of foam rubber roughly 12” x 36” or so. Were these replaced with something else? Was something added in addition to the OEM foam? Not trying to imply anything just curious.

I did cover the wall area of the cabinet internal with the egg crates foam fully untill there is no surface area, is that the reason why its missing the bass?

Going to drink a cup but, always thought a ported speaker dug lower. Maybe I am thinking of a rear ported or rear passive.

With the ported i can feel the "Attack", with the passive i can feel the "heavy" and the "deep" and that makes the T500 feels bass heavy

I used the usual egg crates looking foam, the original only got  2 block of foam not even covering the whole area, does this explain why the bass is missing? i did with the ported as well but the ported seems to deliver nicely

That is always why I wanted a 400 to compare.

i can help you in this department hehehe
