  1. lol if i could get a SVS like this for 100 or 200 i would buy as many as they had lol.
  2. Ok guys, I need something size wise more in the size of a box sub. I was figuring maybe somebody might have say like the SVS box sub that they would rather trade and have the cylinder model or maybe a differnt comparable sub thats a nice sized box not a huge cylinder. Don't get me wrong this sub rocks thats why I would take a box SVS just the size is killer for me, I just watch the Star Wars trilogy on it and man did that thing sound good so . LMK guys, just wanted to put this out there, I may sell the sub outright just make me good offers, this thing is 6 months old with all the original packing and everything still. Mark
  3. Well I love the sub but in a way yes its the size for where its going in my house, i don't know second i just wanted to try a RSW sub, not a RW . Other than those reason this thing does kick butt but man its huge, its funny it dwarfs my SF-2's lol
  4. would happen to want to trade that for a SVS would ya
  5. I have a SVS PCi 16-46 model subwoofer purchased new about 6 months old now and I was curious if somebody would I don't know want to give one of these a try, maybe you have a pretty equally nice subwoofer like a RSW-10 or 12 or something like that, that you might want to trade for a SVS. I don't know I like it but I kinda want to complement the speakers with a klipsch sub. Just figured I would see what kind of responses I would get on here . Mark
  6. Thanks, sorry to confuse, I have my sub set to sub only and mains to large, so they means bass only is on the sub but the mains play it to since they are large right? Whats the point of bass on sub only? LFE right? Sorry i was at work confused myself rereading that lol. I have a SVS 16-46PCi so I was trying to get a combo for more mid bass for music, movies its plenty loud lol. Thanks,
  7. if you have the speakers set to large or small like my towers, i mean then you have the setting for bass to be on mains my towers or sub or both? ok if i set it to sub only for bass what will setting the mains to large do over small?? confused a bit lol thanks.
  8. Well since I got my subwoofer to add to my HT setup I have a question. Now my reciever (Yamaha HTR-5660) doesn't have a set-able cross over just speakers being large or small. Large is full range and small has them run 90hz+. Well question is with my SVS its a 16hz tunned model will i be losing alot of upper punch that my mains could supply by cutting them as small speakers and letting the sub do the 90hz and down. I was wondering how one of you would set it up. I mean like maybe setting the speakers as large, setting it to send bass to just the subwoofer and crossing it over like at 50-60hz range instead of 90hz. Of course I would need to mess with the phase setting on the sub then to get it to work together but do you think it would sound better with the mains putting out below 90hz so i wouldn't have to cross this sub so high. LMK guys, Thanks, DaveM
  9. Got the PCi Version of the sub, will have pictures up soon, still testing and setting it up with the rest of the stuff . DaveM
  10. WOW! That thing is tight and loud, and huge, It makes the SF-2's look like midgets lol. I'll get pictures of my whole setup later and post them for everybody. DaveM
  11. OMG!!! It's there!! ! Only less then 1 hour and 40 minutes. Yay!!
  12. It's on the UPS truck out for delievery. In about 9 hours after I get off work and head home it will be there waiting for me. I went and bought me a 25ft subwoofer cable, its all ready to fire up with some movies. Any good suggestions on movies to test the subs ability vs not using a sub, other tha U571. Thanks, DaveM
  13. I will, along with the whole home theater with some movie caps and games in HD on xbox "mmmm halo :)" DaveM
  14. Well i'm all giddy as a school girl. My SVS just got shipped about 20 minutes ago, UPS ground which is scheduled for a delievery Thursday (2 days! ). I can't wait. I'll post results when it comes in. DaveM
  15. Right now system as follows. Klipsch SF-2 Mains Klipsch SS-1 Surrounds Klipsch SC-1 Center SVS 16-46 PC+ Yamaha HTR-5660 Reciever Xbox (Progressive and component) Toshiba 53H71 (giving me major headaches, stupid thing needs repaired, turn it on and flashing power led light, don't know what up with it, works after awhile leaving it unplugged). Overall happy with the klipsch speakers . DaveM
  16. OMG. I'm so excited, soon as it comes in i'll take pictures of my HT setup and all and do some tests and all that good stuff . I can't wait, glad i made the 200 dollar leap and got a good SVS sub, i'm sure i'll be glad I did . DaveM
  17. Sounds good, I can't wait, darn UPS ground is slow but 22 bucks is cheap shipping on this monster . Where is SVS located where they ship this stuff from ? DaveM
  18. I'm so excited. I was racking the brain on saving some bucks and getting a HSU STF-2, But I wanted more, I wanted a SVS and looking at the b-stock today i jumped on it. a b-stock 16-46PC but it was serviced and a new ISD 12 and a service amp installed (guessing 320 watt version), said equiv. to a PCI model. after seeing the b-stock come with same full warranty a regular one does and it should be to beat for 599 i couldn't pass it since its a 16-46 basically . What do you guys think, should i go ahead and let the order go through and ship or was b-stock a bad idea. DaveM
  19. where could I locate a use SVS PCi sub also the chart on the earthquake sub says 110dB @ 20hz. I'm guessing thats not to bad . DaveM
  20. A response, yay Well see thats the thing they both sound really good. Do you have any suggestions for a differnt brand and certain model that performs nicely at a good price point (500 or less?). Thanks, DaveM ALSO: Do you think the 10inch of the earthquake would have plenty of lower bass, if you look on the site it looks like the chart shows 17-18hz @ 95-96dB. Whats the range on the sunfires usually, I don't care for upper bass as much , I just want to feel it more, i don't need 80-90hz bass power.
  21. 17 views, nobody hehe . Well I'm leaning toward the earthquake but I want some opinions and advice before i jump on it. Thanks, DaveM
  22. Hey guys. Well now that I have the Reciever and speakers and the TV all set which of these two subs would you recommend. I would love to send about 600 shipped or so on a SVS but I just can't afford that really. I'm looking between the HSU STF-2 and the Supernova MK-IV 10". Both look like good subs and both I can get for under 400 dollars *shipping and all*. So these really caught my eyes. Unless maybe somebody can find me something just a tad more thats mucho better or extends lower for a few more bucks I'll take some advice . Love to hear from you too Ears. Yes finally I have no more peesea speakers. http://www.hsustore.com/stf2.html <--- HSU STF-2 sub link with specs http://www.earthquakesound.com/supernova10.htm <-- Supernova MK-IV 10" link and specs *msrp is retarded, they are really 499.99 or so msrp* Outta these two what do you think would give me better sound *tighter* and lower end extension. Also my setup follows below Toshiba 53H71 HDTV Yamaha 5660 Reciever 100x6 channels Klipsch SF-2 Mains Klipsch SC-1 Center Klipsch SS-1 Surrounds All wired with monster cable 16 guage Xbox with progressive scan hooked up with component Thanks *sorry for long message guys * DaveM
  23. Nice TV. I'm happy with my new tv I just scored for a steal from a liquidation . Toshiba 53H71 53", how much ? 350 bucks thats how much. This thing rocks along with my new synergy based HT setup (SF-2, SC-1, SS-1) and my Yamaha 5650 reciever. Feels good to paid around 1800 for my whole HT setup TV and all. My Xbox is handling streaming music and video off the PC, progressive scan DVD's, and gaming . Happy happy
