Also having this issue. I switched it to “installer mode” via a comment from another thread. This apparently disables the auto-standby mode, but seems to also disable volume control via the remote. Not an ideal solution.

Switching to Installer Mode seems to completely disable volume control and power button functionality via the remote. Anyone else expediting this?
