Less the 40% he paid the auctioneer. The premium was only 10% if you paid cash. I passed on some near Tulsa for 3,000. They were un-collared raw birch. They even had the same bad brown finish on them. I came close to buying them but decided I would hate myself for not spending a little more and getting oiled walnut or mahogany. Ive seen several the sellers just chose to keep a while longer. I’m still looking.

That seems like a lot for a birch uncollared Khorn…

Correction: there is an A above an OD on one and a O over an OD on the other. Both on the leftward USA on both on the right.
are those the cabinetmaker ot sanders’s initials?

What does that mean?

On the upper left side, close to where it joins the top, do you see the letter "A" embossed anywhere on either of them?
Yes, one has a C OD and the other has a A OD each on the left back side as well as the serial # across the center back edge.

Cornwall I Crossovers - Renew or Leave Be?

Ok, Now, I’m interested in recapping my two different pair of Cornwall I’s. One set are Decorators from 1975 and the others are oiled Birch from 1983. You have me interested in the JEM Performance Audio, but I’m in Arkansas, and Crites is 90 minutes away. I’m old school, so id like to keep them as original as possible. I’m never soldered anything before. Should I mail them to be done. Can I learn easy enough without burning a hole through a woofer? Thoughts? Thanks , David
