After retiring last year we moved to a small apt which didn't allow me to keep my much loved Klipsch speakers. Now I find I can't do without that sound in my life. I've just purchased a pair of the Klipsch RP-600M speakers and am looking for an amp I can afford that will pair well with them. Someone recommended the Yamaha RX-V683 and I found a used one for $200. I could go a little more if there is a better fit for under $400 but this is important to me to get this right as this will probably be the last system I will buy. I want to squeeze every bit of wonderfulness out of these speakers. Please help me do that. Vintage is certainly an option if it is amazing and fits my budget better.

It took me a while but here are the pictures of the speakers I need to identify. The cabinets are oiled oak I believe. Thank you for your help!

I have a pair of Klipsch floor speakers that we purchased in the late 70's or early 80's. There is an inspected by tag on the back but no dates or other numbers. The sizes are: ~34 tall, 10.5 wide and 11 deep. We are moving into a much smaller space and though I love them, I may have to sell them. Please help me identify and price them in case the won't fit. I know nothing except that I love the sound of them!
