  1. Along with losing weight the other fantastic benefit of low carb/no carb fueling regime is that you avoid 95% of the toxic chemical sludge that they put into processed and packaged food which is most of the carbs being made and sold.

The #1 toxin you will be avoiding is added sugar. #2 are those dreadful PUFAs found in seed oils.

Sad to say we buried our brother John Robert today. Almost exactly 1 year younger than myself.

He passed away on his birthday would you believe. Sad.

Oh my - that was my birthday too. My condolences to your family.

Even today, my 12h fasting BG isn't great at 115 BUT after a run it drops to low 90s which, averages out to good A1C numbers (A1C is a 3 month average).

It's a great progress you have made. Over the years you may have developed some insulin resistance. That happens to most people who have T2D and have been overweight. There's a thing called "non-alcoholoic fatty liver disorder" which contributes to insulin resistance.

    Good luck an continued health!

There is a checkbox for poll-only content in the vicinity of the poll title on my Android Mobile view.  When I went to set up a new poll, it was unchecked by default.  Did you check it?

I'm not sure if that is the key or not.

I think you are right, Jeff. But I can't seem to edit the poll, so I'll chalk it up to mistake and forget about it.

  5. They are as classic sounding as Klipsch speakers!

I am giving up my guitar playing and have three remaining vintage Martins from my collection.

    **1948 000-18 in good for $5900

    **1973 0-16NY in mint condition for $2400

    **1968 0-16NY in great condition for $2000

I don't want to clog up the Klipsch airwaves with this stuff. Travis was kind enough to let me post it. So, if you have any interest in these, send me a PM and I can link you to my G-drive with all the pics and so forth. All guitars are fully playable, and none of them need neck resets or fretwork. They are all original to the best of my knowledge. They come with cases, but not original cases.

  6. Nice pictures Bruce. I also have tons of photos from the film age, and I really like the look of them. I did eventually switch to digital, but in truth I never enjoyed the outcome or the process. I loved developing film, and like you took more time with each snap.

Here is where we disagree. I assure you it's not obvious nor contradicts what I typed.  At the very least I hope we can agree that if we pay attention we do have access to effective information to form our own opinions; Whereas, when there were only terrestrial tv and then cable, information was alot more limited.

Yes, I agree that the Internet expanded information breadth at first.

I again will politely disagree and feel they ARE independent journalism. They were critical of government within a year of 9/11, openly seemed to criticize Obama Foreign Policy (all though they gave room for debate in both) and every administration since and after.

Within all establishment media, there is an acceptable (allowable) range of both ideas to report and critique. It roughly correlates to the "Overton Window." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overton_window

The reasons is obvious....having the government as an enemy is bad for profits, or non-profit budgets.

That's the weak point. I once was an avid Frontline viewer, until i noticed that they always pulled their punches when conclusions were unfavorable to government.

I fat and away prefer independent journalism.

Where we will disagree about YouTube censorship being a shortcoming, DW News and PBS Frontline make excellent documentaries and are Govenment subsidized. I watch these and others regularly on YouTube and don't feel the need for a subscription service.

That said, I watched this while doing dishes and while good, we've known this for decades and it is interesting seeing how Europe and Mexico are dealing with the problem we've been exporting.

Right. Well known problem globally. I've been following Dr. Robert Listing for years. He was among the first to declare sugar a toxin---based on metabolic science.

Processed food is deadly, and the long tail of it is clearly visible now in many countries. I was once a processed food junkie. It might not meet the technical definition of addiction, but functionally it is the same.

Um, technically iffy, It says “audio related” in TOS I believe. Someone put a car in their once and I had to draw the line.

    Guitar, Audio????

    Close enough.

    post away.

Thanks Travis! I won't abuse it.

    Cheers!

I'm sorry to hear that, Mark. My best friend sent me a Martin D Jr, made in Mexico model. It's been so much fun I've been playing more every day. It's actually helped my hands loosen up more. Plus, it's been good for my soul and spirit.

Of all my Martins i enjoyed playing the '54 00-18 the best. Played it everyday for hours---just because it is so good for the soul! I will miss it dearly, but life has to keep chugging on and a room full of unplayable guitars was going to be a drag!

why not post the guitars on the Garage Sale section  .it's safe and free

Is that permissible? I didn't know if that was ok. I'll put something up tomorrow morning.

    Mark, that's a beautiful guitar!

It is. I have some other vintage Martins too that I must dispose of. I lost my ability to play due to severe arthritis in my hands. Time to move on, and take up new hobbies. I've sold about 6 vintage Martins this year and have 3 left plus one Gibson.

LMAO.....   Your use of the term "business" was missed guided and spot-on at the same time...  but profitable for who?   Certainly not the taxpayer and most definitely not the teachers. When it comes to just about anything politics or business, you're always good for a laugh.

One of the largest is "STRIDE" - - NYSE: LRN

    See financials here: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/LRN/financials?p=LRN

    Looks pretty profitable to me.

my definitional posts which were a charity for those with such great educational knowledge it rendered them incapable of consulting a dictionary.

That's funny. The controversy at hand wasn't the definition - simple enough - but rather the application. The offense being called out as censorship centered around the WHO, not the WHAT. Anyone on Earth can proclaim themselves a "fact checker," and then, by arbitrary authority (government selection, let's say), declare a particular claim to be "disinformation" and have it removed from the public sphere. This process renders the dictionary definition moot.  And there lies the controversy which is easily uncovered by anyone spending a day pursuing the bones and learning the context of the controversy over "misinformation."

You go guys! 😁 Do or don't do what your doctor tells you and continue to blame the government for your/society's problems!

I must have missed an important post. Who blamed the government for their problems?
