In ngen33r's response, he mentioned that the glue doesn't need to all be removed (maybe it doesn't have the same issue of becoming conductive?), but there is a ton of the glue that is there, so it's going to take a bit of work to do the repair. I'll post when I'm done whether it worked or not.
did you get the problem fix? i have replace all my caps and the resister, but its still cutting in and out...

Yes the other speaker is labeled ps1 on the board but that didn’t help finding the replacement

Check the other good speaker and there was no value on it.

So the other day I notice the highs in one of my speaker were lacking. Change out the tweeter and still the same problem. Took a look at the xover and inspected it for anything loose and found the varistor is toast. Anyone know what value these are so I can replace it. Thanks in advance.
