Thank you for your reply. I'm reading a lot of good things on the web about this device.

I have a whole house cat six network connected to my computer. I stream movies from that. Does this unit have an ethernet in port so I can connect to my network & stream music from my computer?

I think so.  There is an ethernet port.  From Bluesound's website:

    -------

    PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS.

Bring music into your NODE using HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi or Ethernet, Apple AirPlay 2, aptX™ HD Bluetooth, or USB, to hear audio content from streaming services, TV, and your own music library. Listen to your music through your HiFi system or through wired or wireless headphones, by connecting to the RCA, TOSLINK optical, aptX™ HD Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack, Apple devices, or other Bluesound or BluOS players.
    --------

I have one unit connected to my router using an ethernet connection and the other is controlled and streams wirelessly.  If you can connect via ethernet, I think that is the best way.

Is there a physical remote control or is everything controlled by an app? iPhone compatible?

This device may be just what I need to get my new RB 35s singing without investing in another receiver.

An optional remote is available from Bluesound.  However, it is not necessary and of limited use as it only controls volume and allows for skipping ahead or back.  The unit is controlled for the Bluesound App on a smartphone or tablet.

I've been using this system for 9 months or so and the high-resolution streaming from Amazon HD, Apple music, and Tidal is really phenomenal.

  3. I have two Bluesound node 3s (as in review below).  One is white and one black.  I used them about 10 hours each.  I do not need two of these (although if you have multiple systems, you can control multiple streamers from one point...smart phone, tablet or computer).  I paid an average of $410/ea. so I would like to sell them for.  They are essentially like new w/ box, papers and accessories.

    Here is node 3 review:

The built in DAC is super too.

I use one streaming through a PSE Studio SL pre to Studio V mono amps to La Scala speakers.  With high resolution source such a Tidal or Amazon HD, the sound is phenomenal!

    Price $410.
  4. Hi -- Does anyone know whether the T-35 super tweeter is now being produced for Klipsch by Dai-Ichi and being supplied by High Performance Stereo (HPS) of Henderson, NV?

The following article from 2010 seems to indicate so.

As I mentioned in the previous post, HPS is utilizing Crites AG-55G mid-range drivers in their theater speakers.

  5. Hi all -- Curious as to what the connection is, if any, with Klipsch and HPS?  HPS' theater system looks like a previous generation La Scala with some mods.  John Allen spent a lot of money to bring back the T35 tweeter that is used in Klipsh's heritage speakers currently as well as the A-55-G Midrange Compression Drivers.

Has anyone else used these drivers as replacements in vintage units?  What have the results been?

  6. How do the A-55-G/2 compare to the original drivers?  Trying to decide if I should swap my k-55-m on my 1997 la scalas.  Is it worth the investment?

  7. Good score!  They are similar to a pair I got on eBay except mine are from 1997 and therefore have AL-3 crossover.  Finish and condition is very similar.....mine xame from an Indiana theater.  Mine has the grill cloth over tweeter and squawker.   I like mine and am sure you will like yours!

I spoke with several professional carpenters and conducted extensive research about wood and its attributes.

Now, I believe that buying old pieces is the best option in terms of quality, cost, and time.

So the question for me is if Klipsch change the cabinet in the time from 1977 and 1974?

I think both should be similar.  Did you obtain them?
