  1. My budget for an amp is around $500, give or take a few bucks. Like I said, my interests are clean powerful sound and reliability. Anyone have any experience with the NAD C 370 Integrated Amp?
  2. Cruised around Denver and Boulder looking for something today and came up empty. I'll continue my search on-line and in the paper. Scotts, particularly nice ones, seem to be next to impossible to find... What about an old 70's Marantz receiver or amp to drive these Heresies?

  4. Definitely open to tubes with the HERESY combo. You have suggestions for me?

  6. Any idea where to find these Nakamichi products these days? Ebay? Other?
  7. After a long deviation, I am returning to 2 channel audio and in need of an amp to drive my recently purchased 1983 Klipsch HERESY speakers. I will be playing a turntable, a cd player, and FM stereo on occasion. Please send suggestions. My only requirements are: 1. Must sound sweet playing acoustic guitar music(Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, Wilco, Son Volt). 2. Must be reliable (I enjoy tweaking a bit, but not as a career--I'd much rather listen). 3. Must be reasonably priced (Preferably under $500 or thereabouts). 4. Wouldn't hurt if it looked interesting (not bells and whistles-intersting "old-school" simple) Thanks in advance for your suggestions. This forum is great!
  8. Hello, I am interested in comments from Klipsch owners who run NAD amps, intergrated amps, and specifically NAD receivers with their Klipsch speakers. Upgrading my home theater system is the project at hand and a new receiver is first on the list. What are your opinions on a good pairing for the folllowing system: Fronts: RF3II Center: RC3II Rears: (until I can replace them) JBL L100T Sub: KSW 10 DVD/SACD/CD: SONY DVP-NS500V I am particularly interested in the NAD 751 or 752... The physical characteristics of the room: 15' X 19' Hardwood Floor with rug covering 80% of the room Any good advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  9. I have the "Kind of Blue" version you are referring to, and I also bought the SACD version the other day. The SACD version has ZERO hiss and is so incredible to listen to it "KIND of FREAKED ME OUT." Seriously, it's the only SACD I own so far, and I was not expecting this level of clarity. I'm no snobby audiophile, but I've been involved in audio since 1975. SACD is interestingly beautiful, particularly through KLIPSCH...
