  1. I have a Rogue Magnum with remote I'm selling. It's in very good condition and sounds wonderful. My search for a preamp ended when I purchased it. $1195.00 with Old Stock Sylvania 6sn7's. I have more tubes if needed.

  2. The Scout & record cleaner are sold, thanks to the support I've received from you guys here. I cannot say how much I appreciate it.

If by any chance I did not respond to anyones emails or posts can you please resubmit them. I tried my best to keep track of all the requests, so if I missed anyone please let me know.

I'm going to keep this gear exclusively available to you all here till over the weekend. After which I will decide what hits Audiogon & Ebay. There's still some really good buys here. Don't let the price fool you, the phonostage is awesome, it was a $900.00 piece of gear new, and got great reviews. I thought it would go quick.

edit: I adjusted the new price from $2000. too $900.00

    Thanks again,

    Tom

  3. Tom, Two questions: First, while you sell the current system, would you like to borrow a good pair of Heresy's, a Nakamichi cassette deck and a good Sansui 719 amp. Bone plain system... No questions asked, no cost, no obligation, just some 'hep, as we say down here; I'll send them to you and you can have some music. Send 'em back later when things settle down a bit. Second, are you really sure you want to sell the LaScala's? I would like to make you an offer, but let me know if that's what you really want to do. If so, let me know at 863-634-7038 or email me at the following email address ocsosheriff1@okeechobee.com. I sure hope the family situation gets better, Kind regards// MWM

That is a very, very kind offer, I still have enough stuff laying around here to hold me over. The speakers are available for your taking. I notice you are located in Florida, for obvious reasons I want to make this a local pick up only, unless you're willing to handle the pick up and delivery on your own. I'm also firm on my price, as I'm just looking to recoup what I paid for them. Again, thank you very much for your generosity, I'm not used to people being so generous.

  4. The La Scala's finish is of a what I believe to be a dark walnut stain, which was done by the previous owner. The condition is very good except foor a small nick bottom right front corner of the left speaker & a rubmark about 2 inches long on the back corner of the same speaker. You can see the bottom right nick in this photo. The other is in the back so it is not visible.

  5. Tom,

Is the TT still for sale? Are you willing to ship? If so, Chuck (Colonial Hoo) has a friend who would probably be interested in both the table and the step-up which he'd need. I know his budget was $1600 and this would work out about right if you'd offer the 2 (with I/Cs) for $1600 shipped.

Chuck - If you're there, you should ask Long if he's interested. This would be a really nice setup for him!!

The table is being considered by a few, but no solid commitment yet. If Long is interested have him email me so we can discuss further. Thanks for the heads up.

  6. Tom, I guess you're removing items from the original post when they sell? Are you/did you sell the Ah! Tjoeb? I've been pining for one of those since I heard Dee's last fall. If it were me, that'd be the last to go...

    Fini,

I will be marking them as sold, the Ah! is still availble, you are correct its very sweet sounding. I am still researching into a fair market price for this piece, any ideas let me know.

  7. Tom, I'll echo Gary's thoughts. Hard to do, but the right thing. You're a good man to put your family first. Do you have a smaller rig that can be put into service? I can help out if you'd like. Take care, Gregg

Thanks Fini, I have my HT system in the family room that I can still enjoy, it won't be quite the same but my day will come again.

  8. Tom,

Sorry to see you selling your gear. I know that must be extremely difficult.

Best of luck to you and your family and I hope things work out.

    Regards,

    Gary

Thanks alot Gary, thats means alot to me coming from you.

  9. Hi Guys,

Hope all is well with you all. I haven't been around for a while due to obligations that need my attention. This in turn

has forced me to stray away from my hobby. It is unfortunate but I need to liquidate my 2 channel system in order to

eliviate some of the financial burden my family is experienceing at this time.

As customary with alot of forum members I am making the offer here before heading over to Audiogon & Ebay.

Everything is in good condition unless specified. If you need pictures or have questions, please feel free to email me,

I will accomidate the best that I can. The last three items on the bottom I have not priced out, because I didn't find

any comparables in order to price them fairly, if some of you can give me some ideas on what they go for, I will price

them accordenly. I have original boxes & manuals for just about everything listed, please ask when enquireing about a piece. Sorry about the misspellings I can't find the spell check on this new formatted forum.

Thank you all for your time and take care.

  10. I've been to alot of concerts in my lifetime, but never got to see the Stones. Needless to say I'm pretty excited about it. Man 50 bucks at the Aragon, what a good time that must of been, was that general admission? If it was, once you got past the sampede at the door it was smooth sailing from there. Well I'm off to see some more history in the making tonight, thanks guys for the comments.

    Tom

  11. Oh Ya!

A good friend of mine just called, I'm going to the Stones concert monday night at the United Center. The best part is, it's free! We'll be viewing from one of the sky boxes, I've been in this particular box before for sporting events, it's not bad at all. The night is complete with catered food, drinks & booze compliments of the company that owns the box, and of course lets not forget about the dessert cart, yummy. Should be a good time.

Does anyone know who is playing backup at this venue, I searched the web, couldn't find anything.

    Tom
