  1. Speed3, I used Monster M1.4 Biwire for the RF3's and RC3, standard Monster XP wire with Monster banana plugs for the rs3's and Monster M-Series Bass550 for the LF-10. Kain64, I have my RF3's angled slightly inward (roughly 15 degrees) and about 6 inches away from the wall. That gives the front edge of the speaker cabinet roughly 1' of separation from the wall(with the 15 angle). I'm not sure what ideal is on paper, but I have no complaints. -Greg
  2. Thanks OrangePeel! PHIL O, I've only heard the SPL800 (of the subs you listed), and actually, I listened to them back to back. -No contest! LF-10 rules there! I brought the soundtrack to the movie 'Hook' (w/ Robin Willaims & Dustin Hoffman)w/ me to the AV place when I bought my sub. The first track on that CD is fairly short, but extremely dynamic and powerful. At the very end of that track, there are 3-4 very low freq. signals that completely overwhelmed most of the subs I listened to that day (including the SPL800 - I must have listened to about 12 subs that day). Quite frankly, the only subs (that this place carried) that out performed the LF-10 were the Velodyne HGS12 and HGS15. They also had a monstrous Martin Logan sub, but it was WELL out of my price range, so I did not bother listening to it. I decided on the LF-10 (vs, the HGS') because of the huge price difference. Keep in mind, this is my first setup and I firmly beleive that my LF-10 is an excellent, deep performer for the money!

I absolutely love my LF-10! I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on this sub, but I for one have not had any problems and get excellent response with no so-called "leaking". If I had one complaint, it would be that my auto-on feature does not seem to work. Since it really doesn't bother me to flip it on manually when I use it (and the fact that I've been really lazy about diagnosing the problem), I just accept it. Other than that, I would recommend it! P.S.-If anyone does have a possible fix for my auto-on "problem", please enlighten me. Thanks! -Greg
