  1. I have an M&K 350 and have no complaints. No booming, just real sound. Personally, I like to design of the M&K. One of the speakers is pointed down at the floor. You really *feel* explosions on the screen.
  2. 1080i and 1080p (which I don't believe exists) both display 1080 lines. The difference is in the order that they are painted on the screen. "i" (interlaced) paints every other line with each pass. "p" (progressive) paints each line in order with each pass. The result is a smoother picture with "p" because each line is painted in order for the entire picture.
  3. Okay - I went with the RS7s. They are okay, not great. I think the last reply hit it right on the head. The surrounds just need more punch. Now I'm thinking about KHorns for the fronts, Heresys for the surrounds, and RS7s for the back. I'm very happy with my RC7 and M&K350 sub. I think this combination will rock the neighborhood and bring just about any movie to life.
  4. Doug - I think you missed my tongue in cheek - the "love of my life" was my Heresys, not my wife. Your idea of two systems is a good one, except I just don't have the room for two sound systems. And I think my Heresys in my bedroom would be a bit much. Hey - maybe I can put them in the back of my car!!! Now there's an idea!
  5. Okay, it was late in the day when I wrote my question. My center channel is indeed an R*C*7. Actually, I guess I could blame it on a *typo* as the C is just below the F (unless of course you are using a DVORAK keyboard). So, my ultimate plan is go to with RF7s in the front. However, it is going to be extremely difficult (if not impossible) to pry my Heresys out of my hands. I have had those speakers for 20 years. They are in mint condition (hand rubbed oil by me and not a blemish on them). Furthermore, I would kick the wife out before I would see my Heresys go out the door. Therefore, I have a delema - what to do with the love of my life in order to add 2 RF7s to my life. So for now I'm just strugling with surround speakers and whether the RS7s are worth the dramatic jump in price over the RS5s.
  6. I am looking at rear channel speakers. I currently have Heresys in the front and an RF7 for the center. I am running brand X for my surrounds. I'm looking to replace my brand Xs with either RS5s or RS7s. My question is - are the 7s worth the extra money? Thanks!!
