Exactly my point. You would think they would want the people with the "bug" to go out and buy the new latest and greatest and sell the RF-7's to people like me for 1/1000 of their original cost. Maybe that's what I want.

Its strange that they would update all the other reference models with these new stronger cones but not the 10 inchers on the rf-7.

From what everyone on the board has stated in comparisons with Klipsch and SVS subs I would assume that the RSW line is punchier, that is what most everyone says. So it looks like you have confirmed that. You should shoot an e-mail off to svs they'll probably be happy to suggest some tweaking that could help it sound more to your liking.

And to think, I was just contemplating buying some rb-5's or RF-3's for a two channel setup, I guess my timing was excellent.
