  1. pinipig, I just received my 4.1 subwoofer back from a repair job by Klipsch and things are working again...except for this issue of how to connect the speakers and do other configurations/control settings to listen to just plain, two-channel stereo. I have an Audigy 2 card and would appreciate some specific wiring information for the speakers; and the configuration you both spoke of. Thx.
  2. Good advice re choice of cards, etc. I've also had to move the audigy2 card away from the video card to minimize some incidental clicks, such as from pressing a mouse key. They didn't happen all the time.
  3. BR, I did open the back of the subwoofer, checked the fuse with an ohmmeter, looked at circuit boards, checked everything I could...nuttin. I guess that's why I expected the control pod to fix it. Thx tho//Del
  4. I haven't received the subwoofer back as yet...still listening to subpar speakers.
  5. Per Amy's suggestion, I obtained and installed a control pod at a moderate price ($28) and short delay. The results were still the same. Now we're shipping the subwoofer back to AR. They indicate they will credit the control pod cost and return the sw in about 2 weeks, again at a moderate cost ($50). The response so far has been great, even though we're not quite there yet. Listening to recordings and mixing new ones with my old speakers really made me appreciate the 4.1's.
  6. I've used your PM 4.1's for about a year. Today, I have neither sound nor red/green lights. I checked power cable, plugged it in in another checked outlet, nothing. I unplugged the preamp cable, pins ok, plugged it back in, no change. I checked the speaker connections, both ends, jiggled wire, no change. I'm really hurting for these to be up and running...need to finish some recording and would appreciate some ideas.
