There was a piano sonatas set that sounded good from the reviews.

    ----------------

Poem, Piano & Flute was disk 1. I have it and be damned if I can find it now. Yes very good stuff. Also try Sublime Chant, Richard Proulx. Gregorian, Ambrosian, and Gallican Chant. Nothing like several human voices to make speakers open up!

  2. Dean,

Glad to hear Austin is home and progressing. Don't waste money on plastic surgery though. My wife had open heart surgery when she was 4. It looks like someone took a swipe at her with a big sword or battle axe and only made it half way through. It does not take away from the beauty I see in her one bit. In fact it magnifies her toughness and resolve. Let Austin keep the scare and have fun with the tattoo if he wants it.

WTH?? Consecutive serial numbers and 2 different tweeters? Made on a Monday or Friday?

  4. Welcome back! 1.gif I have just recently returned myself from just such an absence. Just not as long.

If the drivers are mounted on the inside of the cabinet and the back is held on by several screws me thinks it is an original Heresy. Post the serial numbers here and one of the more knowledgeable ones will tell you the year(s) built.

  5. Ed, I dont blame you for being gunshy. Your bad luck was with the A310? If you want to give the RP82 a try go to a dealer that will let you demo in home or has a no hassles no questions asked 15-30 day return. If it isnt what you want keep looking. If it is, buy it from a good local dealer who willing to back it. Also look into an extended warranty.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

  6. I just bought a Panasonic DVD-RP82 in December. No problems yet. The build quality does seem a bit cheap, but most things do these days. My father has had a Panasonic DVD32 for close to a year now with out problems as has a friend with the same unit. I also had 2 Panasonic stereo VCRs I bought in 1986. I traded one away in 1991 so I dont know how long it lasted after that, but the one I kept lasted until 1997. 11 years and ALOT of tapes played/recorded. I replaced it with a JVC that has worked without error to this day. Would I buy another Panasonic? You bet.

Even the best manufacturers do produce some bad stuff once in a while. Looks like you got the once in a while DVD.

  7. I think I recognize where they got the wood from for that cheesy mod. In someones kitchen one of the cabinets is missing a drawer front.6.gif

Kelly, I think the painted knobs are what makes your HF81 stand out from everyone elses.

  8. I think you will get the reserve. If those "insurance" units can bring close to $1000 yours should have no problem.

Also don't dismiss low feedback. We all have to start somewhere. You are at only 3 after all. You may want to be a bit more careful with low feedback as far as form of payment and other terms.

As for the WAF, gotta like her lovin those Cornwalls better than the 30s. Most women would be the opposite. (Or in most cases you would get, NONE of the above. )

  9. For a newbie you put up a very nice ad.

Just curious, what is your reserve? I'm not buying, but I see these go for around $1000 all the time on eBay. (And yours are the nicest looking ones I have seen.) Are the Corwalls replacing these or do you have something else lined up?

Good luck, hope they bid high!1.gif

Somebody please tell me how to get a photo on this text page instead of an attachement. I hate attachements and having to backtrack.

First you need to get your pictures up on a server. Most ISPs provide you with some space as part of your monthly service. Then you need some of these guys , ]] <[ located near your enter key. Your code should look like this, [ img >] http://www.someserver.com/yourpics/thepic.jpg <[ / img >]

When you type it in do not use these <<>>>. You want these ] [ and no spaces.
