"u must give ati another chance." pinni, believe me I did...that's why I waited for the 9700...now, don't get me wrong here, I think ATI makes great hardware...their all-in-one product (video capture, mpeg decode, etc) is probably one of the best in the market...my complain is with the drivers...their drivers just suck...they could have spent better on their driver resource but for some reason they don't... I've had quite some problems with the 9700...for instance, on one of my system which have the same mobo as Ear, Asus P4G8X, when I was watching an animation in IE and all of the sudden, the screen went blank and went back to the VGA resolution and then crashed...I had the card at the monitor native resolution of 1600x1200...when I tried the same with the geforce3 4600 and the geforce fx 5900, it worked flawlessly...and when I went back to the 9700 the same thing happen over and over... I have not try the 9800 so I don't have any comment but I heard that it pretty much uses the same driver as the 9700...

let put this to rest once and for all... I've never said that I dislike horn and I've never claimed that any speaker (at any cost) can be perfect including mine...not anywhere in my posts...I asked Ear a question and you guys got all jumpy and immediately jumped to the conclusion that I hate horn and my speakers are perfect and the best...now, if you can't tell by the way I usually talk to Ear, then don't blame me for "insinuating and incite"...you people are the one that started this flame war not me...if you just sit down for a moment, take a deep breath and think over what I said, this wouldn't have happen...I am sure some of you have followed me from board to board and by now you should have know my style with Ear... now, if you think I have an attitude problem, have you ever wonder why? because you are provoking it...a simple misunderstanding of words can spur an outrage in you people and you think I don't have the right to feel the same when you're injecting hatred in your reponses with curses or words of such nature and name calling (and I thought a civilize board would never revert to such)? as for those of you who did not participate in this and are being affected, I am sorry for the trouble...personally I agree with Ear that this is a great board and there are great people here...however, being human as we are, some people will always exhibit outrageous behavior in certain situations...on the other hand, there's always people that will keep their cool and not getting involve since they know better...let return this board to it peaceful state... this will be my last post in this thread...
