MY SPEAKERS ARE CONNECTED THRU MY SUB. DO I JUST BI-WIRE FROM THE SUB OUT?

SAME KIND, RS311.

I NOW HAVE 5.1 AND I AM THINKING OF GOING TO 7.1. MY FRONT SPEAKERS ARE 15 FT IN FRONT OF MY SEATING POSITION AND MY REARS ARE 6 FT IN BACK OF ME ON THE REAR WALL. IF I ADD 2 SIDE SURROUNDS WOULD IT BE BETTER TO PUT THEM RIGHT IN BACK OF MY SEATING POSITION OR 5 FT IN FRONT. I HAVE RS311 SURROUNDS.

I have a Denon 3801, RF311, RC3, RS3. I'd like to go 7.1. How would SS-1's go with these?

I just purchased a recorder and you cannot copy most dvds without some type of filter. A recorder acts just like a vcr and any tape or dvd that is macro protected (which most newer ones are) you will need a filter for. You may want to go to www.dvdplusrw.org and read about it. I have a filter and I copy dvds and the picture is a perfect copy but the sound is two channel, not 5.1. As of this date I know of nobody making a 5.1 recorder. I have a PHILLIPS 985R and I think it works great.
