colterphoto1 Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 I just bought from ebay 5 KSM1/2 networks, 4 each K58's- which are K601 Cornwall/KP301/KSM1/2 horns and K53 drivers. The drivers all need new diaphragms. Thinking of making either some more KSM2 monitor cabinets or possibly some KSM-SF (my own designation) for side fill type monitors. Basically a two way KP301 using the same cabinet volume as the old slant monitors that should work with the K43 woofer. The KP301 uses a K48 driver so the network is not right for that speaker. Will investigate adding a tweeter which would entail adding a small section to the network. The K792 tractrix high power unit would be the tweeter of choice for such a speaker, possibly something from PE or Bob's CT125. More to follow, got to get the new shop up and running first.
