tedjack
I have the RB-61's and the RC-62. Has anyone used the RB-51's as surrounds? I can get the RS-42's for about $90.00 more, but I wonder if using the RS-42's would make that much of a difference.
darylomer12
If you can swing the extra $90, I'd go with the RS's. They are much better for surrounds as they have a much wider dispersion and covers alot more area. The RB's would be ideal for rear surrounds if you were to go with 7.1. Bottom line... Yes, it will make a difference.
falcon20x
If you are mainly watching movies, get the RS 42 they are worth the extra $90 The only time I would suggest the use bookshelves speaker type for the surround would be if you are doing a lot of music listening

falcon20x
The RS speakers are made to be used a surround speakers only, the Wide Dispersion Design provides the best sound for rear surround speakers. I'm not familiar with everett, I 'm in carrollton
tedjack
Until I move into a house again, the rear speakers have to be mounted on the back wall. I'm sure I can make it work somehow.
darylomer12
Yes, I'm using RS-52's now, but I'm going to experiment using RC-7's as my side and rear surrounds. I just need one more RC-7 and that will make 4. I may be selling two pairs of RS-52's here in a week or so if I like the way it sounds... Everett huh... Did you work at Boeing?
