dead port ProMedia 2.1

Recommended Posts

well that makes a little more sense. thanks for sticking wit me. my satellite speakers aren't just back boxes, they're circular with a 3 point grill on the front. i think it's the picture on the websites page for the ProMedia GMX A-2.1 product. anyways. here's 2 more pictures. looking from the opposite end to the back of the ports. not much to see... unfortunately. i can send more pics.. of its nothing you haven't seen. do you see, from my very first picture i posted, the yellow wire coming from the diagrams labeled FUSE? (specifically FUSE1 and FUSE2) you might only be able tos e USE.

i think those last pictures were more what you wanted. lemme know if not. the bottom, of the metal box, i showed. theres not much down there. i took the box off. or unscrewed it but coudln't take it away too much. but it looked like there were 2 pieces of metal bent around each other, not held together with screws....

here's pics from under the sub (but i just flipped it upside down to take pictures) you can't see the back of the ports because of the underside of the curcuit board. but they're behind that, on the bottom right of the picture (behind the green board)

well I've talked to tech support, and apparently the GMX doesn't have fuses on the inside... so I'm still trying to figure out the problem. If anyone reading this has the ProMedia GMX A-2.1 vs. the ProMedia 2.1, you're pretty much out of luck (the vibe I'm getting). The product is not longer made, and there's limited parts. I'm hoping I can send it in when I get the time and funds, unless its cheaper to buy a new one... :-/ Good luck to everyone!
