kenratboy
I have been thinking about buying the RB-5II for a while, but then I saw that the RF-3II are the same price, whats the catch? They both have the same tweeter, but the woofer model is different for the two speakers. I know that the RB-5II's have real wood and the RF-3II's have vinyl, which doesn't bother me a bit. Anyway, SHOULD one sound better? I have a monster subwoofer, so bass output isn't a issue. So, whats the difference and why are they the same price? WEBMASTER: The word "system" is spelled "sytem" under the DRIVE COMPONENTS in the RF-3II's specifications.

Guest BobG
The cost of the wood enclosure is the reason the two products cost the same. The do not sound the same even with a sub covering the bottom two octaves. RF-3 plays a bit louder while RB-5 has more focus. I know that's vague, but it's the best I can do. Barista
So I take it you would be safe to say that; RF-3 = More Quantity, Less Quality RB-5 = More Quality, Less Quantity So if you have a nice sub and if the said above is true, personally I would go with the RB-5s and a nice stand for them. Also, the topic subject is a little misleading "Difference between RF-3II & RF-5", then the message refers to RB-5II. Good Luck Choosing! ------------------ Barista T.
