cross
Hi there....have finally decided it's either the c3 or x5. No way of trying them out before buying. So, I will just have to ask for your help guys ...any actual experience with both? How do they compare in terms of sound quality? My preference for speakers are mostly bookshelf/monitors - as I like their tonal balance more than floorstanders. I like the sound character of Dynaudios ( cooler/leaner, but not stone cold & more neutral sounding) over B&W's (warmer/fuller and a little bit colored) . I listen to almost all types of music. From classical , rock, pop, oriental songs...anything My source for these earbuds will not be my amplifiers, but my laptop or cellular phone only. Which one do you guys think will sound better ? or maybe you can describe the sound character of each and I will decide ...would really appreciate any help extended Hope you guys understand my situation ...simply cannot try them before buying , they are all sealed. you open them , you bought them ...hmmm... regards cross

cross
hi there Bill....a little misunderstanding here...am not refering to 5.1 channel. Strictly 2 Channel audio only , as I am not much of an HT person. the C3, I was refering to Custom 3 and the Image X5 - both earbuds. I mentioned the Danes and B&W's for reference purposes only, so fellow forum members more or less have an idea of my preference in sound ...I have no choice but to shift temporarily to earbuds as I can no longer enjoy my 2 channel set ups lately - got two tiny toddlers running around all the time (I'm not complaining though , they are a bundle of joy so my speakers are getting some rest time till maybe these little guys grow up a few years from now I truly appreciate your taking time out to answer my query though best regards cross
