shaunm
hi, there is an add in craigslist http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/ele/1496177991.html i was wondering how these compare to rf-63's? such bass? i know overall the rf-63's would be better but what about bass? two 10 inch woofer vs 3 6inch woofers. is it worth getting this as extra speakers? thanks.. Montigue231
shaunn theres pros n cons when comparing these.. on one hand the 63 s have a better crossover network and sounds better in home theater while on the other hand the 5.5's can get down n dirty with some awesome bass. Also the 5.5s can be updated to titanium tweeters easily for about 50 bucks...If its bass your looking for go for the 5.5s. Most all of the klipsch reference series speakers have a slim modern design and compliment a subwoofer very nicely... i paid 150 bucks for my 5.5s with blown tweeter diaframes , but it was no problem becase i was planning to upgrade to the titaniums.. the seller is asking a price on the high end in my opinion..not over priced but its on the high end of the market value
shaunm
oh okay thanks montique, i will see if i can get the price lower. these should be good as a party speakers. i just love the size of the 63's.. but these looks bigger. are they the same size as rf-7's? Montigue231
go to klipsch products..view discontinued products and compare specs. If your looking for some serious slam, you wont be disappointed wiht the 5.5's..just make sure you get a descent amp..The KG's dont have the efficiency as pre 90's Klipsch do
