quadklipsh Posted December 8, 2009 Share Posted December 8, 2009 hi there im using quad and the above mentioned RF-3s and have been enjoying it for a couple of months now if anyone has experienced something like this combo,pls lemmi know how can i improve the overall sound the quad has surpassed the sound of most japanese made amps iv used which include pm 94 and the axz 911 jvc victor i even used the musical fidelity A1 it had a better sound , but later on i preferred the mellower yet clean sound of my quads the A1s are a bit bright ,imho with klipsches tell me if i shud use a dual mono block quad 303 setup wud that be a substantial improvement or wud an amp upgrade benefit me more hoping to hear some views thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Because this is an Older system (45 wpc)...........you may either need to get the unit serviced, or just get a Newer Amp with more Power. JMHO. Johnny dB Posted December 8, 2009 Share Posted December 8, 2009 I think deang had a pair of the Quad II tube amps. These are solid state amps, but are supposed to be very tube-like in sound. Never heard or seen them. Must've been popular in the UK as Pink Floyd is said to have had these in their studio for 10 years.
