The sound is normal when playing my ipod or when connecting my internet radio component to the 3.5mm dock input. Any suggestions are appreciated. I suggest turning the volume down when connecting or disconnecting the CD Player, or turning off the power switch..... I play bass guitar; and whenever connecting my guitar to the amp; I either mute the amp or make sure volume is all the way down..... The crackling is normal but should be avoided.... IMHO....
