Sub-12 is dead: is the amp glued in?

The led light on the front is on but nothing from the speaker. Checked it on another amp and nothing from the speaker. I am out of warranty (2 years) on the amp. Is the amp glued in on the sub-12? I removed all the outer screws and it wouldn't come out. I had to remove the speaker to look inside. I might try the sub-12 fix diy fix that was posted here. Otherwise I am not sure how I'd be able to send just the amp in for replacment if I can't get it out. I am in Canada and shipping the hole amp back is out of the question. I'm really bummed about this. The sub is about 3 years old and has been babied in a home theater. I didn't expect it to die so soon :(

EDIT: I was able to remove the amp...it was just really tight. I hope I can get a replacement. I don't see any leaking caps or burnt IC's.
