chong67
I got my refurbh Klipsch 2.1 last week. There is no power switch on it. That is amazing. How come? Also, it make this very faint buzz noise when my computer is off. I have to put my ear very near the speaker to hear it. When computer is on, it is not that bad and it doesnt bother me. Are all these normal?

chong67
I disconnect it from a 50ft extended cable with no source and just the power and I can hear a faint static buzz. I have to put my ear real close to hear it. Is is not suppose to make no noise? What shall I do?
LoneRangers
That is your problem. You're using a 50 foot cable and it's acting as an antenna. It's most likely picking up EMI from an AC source.
chong67
I see. The left speaker nearest to the AC outlet with AC wire along with the speaker wire has no faint static buzz noise. Its only the right speaker that has it. But it is very faint. I have to put my ear like 1 inch to it to hear it.
