johnny24c Posted April 8, 2002 Share Posted April 8, 2002 Now that they have been out for a while is the WDST type speakers like the RS-7 better for surround than the direct speakers?????? . If I use the RS-7 I can go rear or side . If I go with the RCW-5, They have to go behind, because of wall thickness.But take up alot less space. I am using RF-7,RC-7 for front Plus the rs-7 don't have the same horn/tweeter as the rc and rf 7. So wouldn't the RCW-5 sound just as good for a lot less $$$$$$. I,m sure some of you guys have compared these types of speakers. thanks. Oh yea... room is 17 X 24 with about 5ft behind the couch to back wall.
