oldmako
My TV sits directly on top of my academy center, and in between my CFs. There is approx one foot between the TV and the speakers. Is there any harm to the set being this close to the magnets? Inquiring minds want to know.
SuBXeRo
depends, is your tv a tube tv or a flatscreen. Look up magnetism and you can see how the magnetic fields are. The size of a magnet doesnt matter, neodynium is way stronger of a magnet than a ferrite is and the size differences are huge. My dad has two small pols next to our tube tv about 6 inches from the screen and there is no distortion. I had my unshielded bose 201's next to my flatscreen and no problems. LCD's dont suffer from the magnetic interference that tube tvs do.
