Magnetic interference, sheilding, speaker distance.

depends, is your tv a tube tv or a flatscreen. Look up magnetism and you can see how the magnetic fields are. The size of a magnet doesnt matter, neodynium is way stronger of a magnet than a ferrite is and the size differences are huge. My dad has two small pols next to our tube tv about 6 inches from the screen and there is no distortion. I had my unshielded bose 201's next to my flatscreen and no problems. LCD's dont suffer from the magnetic interference that tube tvs do.
