quadklipsh
GUYS, last night i tried out the out put from my dvd player and used it to run my headfones which are slightly demanding of an amp. the sound was there but it wasnt loud at all and also there wasnt enough oomph and grammage. guess there were hardly enough watts to feeed the HP. i connected 2 other headfones . and the sound was louder owing to their different sensitivities. i then used the marantz 2230 pre amp out and fed it to the 3 HPs. and the sound was still the same ol boring. i guess these tweaks wont be enough . and only a dedicated headfone amplifier would do !!! moray james
A buffer might get you there. Grant Audio have a small tube buffer that is not too expensive and sounds good. You will still need to have some form of level control so a dedicated amp would be a more logical option or a portable cd player with a built in amp and volume control.Best regards Moray James.
