boa12 Posted April 27, 2002 Share Posted April 27, 2002 thanks to those for this recommendation. i already had the cd but this had the bonus w/ sarah mcglochlan. carlos still has it! execellent diversity. here's a kicker, i of course auto went to the dts format. but though the low drums & bass were good & tight, thought the mids & highs were lacking. last PM did the dolby 5.1 & the mids & highs were much more pronounced, though the bass wasn't as stong & defined as w/ dts. actually thought the dolby sounded overall best. almost like a whole other better mix. could be w/ dts the bass was drowning out the rest some w/ dts. probably need to use that -10db on lfe for that. i'll try that next time. anybody compared the dolby to dts on this? sans the bass the dolby still seemed better on the mids/highs. figured they always used the same mix for both, but may be not? ------------------ My Home Systems Page Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
