leok Posted April 28, 2002 Share Posted April 28, 2002 In the May 2002 Stereophile magazine, there is a review if the Quicksilver Audio "Horn Mono Amp." It's an amp designed for use with horns. I found the review interesting. Of note is the designer's use of feedback (a lot of feedback). Not what one would expect, but his remarks about higher gain resulting in more noise make sense. I removed the feedback in a very similar amp to get rid of the noise. It didn't occur to me to increase it instead. Anyway, I thought this would be interesting for readers of this forum.
