So I see this

Media Server Playback: You can play music files stored on your computer or media server (the TX-NR3008 is DLNA certified). MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WAV, AAC, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, and LPCM file formats are compatible. Each folder on the server may contain up to 20,000 music files, and folders may be nested up to 16 levels deep.

Media Server Requirements: The receiver can play digital music files stored on a computer or media server using the following technologies:

Windows Media Player 11

Windows Media Connect 2.0

DLNA-Compatible Media Server

Now gotta figure out what DLNA means. Thinking media server will mean PC.
