Beechnut
I know the Burr-Brown DAC can play .FLAC etc. Can the 3008 play them from an Ext hard drive or does it have to be a PC?? Wanna put all the lossless audio on a Ext hard drive instead of on a PC.
Beechnut
So I see this Media Server Playback: You can play music files stored on your computer or media server (the TX-NR3008 is DLNA certified). MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WAV, AAC, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, and LPCM file formats are compatible. Each folder on the server may contain up to 20,000 music files, and folders may be nested up to 16 levels deep. Media Server Requirements: The receiver can play digital music files stored on a computer or media server using the following technologies: Windows Media Player 11 Windows Media Connect 2.0 DLNA-Compatible Media Server Now gotta figure out what DLNA means. Thinking media server will mean PC.
ajoker2c
I use a WD Live as a media server for all my FLAC files. Works perfectly and is a cheap alternative. I have 2 1Tb eexternal hard drives connected to it. 1 for music and 1 for movies. hope that helps
Beechnut
Is that WD TV Live? Looks like a stand alone module that runs as a server for other items you input to it??
