They have very similar specs, dual 12's, 102 db@1m. etc. has anyone had the oppurtunity to listen to both? I own a pair of KLF-30's but havent heard the C4's. how does the Bass compare/ mid etc.? DrWho Posted October 1, 2011 Share Posted October 1, 2011 If you can find the first gen CF-4, before they increased the sensitivity, then it will dig lower and has way smoother mids. I think it was within a year or so they changed it to have a higher sensitivity, which I think entailed voicing the tweeter hotter, and raising the LF corner. I would describe the epic series as sounding more "audiophile" whereas all the other klipsch speakers are more live sounding. Definitely worth giving them a listen if you have the chance.
