Felix Mora Jr
I have four JBL 2402 Bullet Tweeters, and Two JBL 2404H tweeters with the 2416 drivers. I have to power these units the Crown D 150, 75 rms. I intended to install these tweeters by daisy chaining one 2404 and, followed by two 2402's one channel A, and the same on channel B. My question is can I, and how should i wire the tweeters on the Crown D150.
Don Richard
I assume that you are biamping, but I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish by using 3 tweeters. Is this for home use or for a PA system? What impedance are the tweeters rated at?
Felix Mora Jr
Single Amp D 150, PA Use, impedance is all 8 ohms
ZAKO
REMEMBER THE POLAR PATTERNS ARE DIFFERENT ON THE 2402 and 2404 ,,LOBEING WILL BE OBVIOUS,, and SENSITIVITY ON 2404 is 105 db spl and 2404 is 110 SPL at1W 1M (3.3ft) I HAVE BOTH,, THE 2402 will bore a hole in your skull,, bandwidth is not that great.. I would not recomend that bullit tweeter in a mix and match situation,,
Don Richard
Use the two bullet tweeters stacked vertically and mounted as close to each other as possible. Wire in parallel. Cross them about 7-8 kHz and EQ. I used such an arrangement in an all JBL built up PA years ago. Sounded great.
ZAKO
The 2402 starts going south at 15K Not to mention it will peel the green off your teeth,, ,, I prefer the 2404 It sounds smoother and more extended. And dispersion pattern more uniform..
