I just set up my brand new 2.1 and although the satellites sound wonderful, the sub (even when turned down low w the computer volume down as well) sounds distorted and very loud. I can't turn the sub up half way without the sound being unbearable. Is this a burn in issue? I love this system, and your suggestions are very appreciated. lo123 Posted October 9, 2011 Share Posted October 9, 2011 If this is a Pro Media 2.1 that does not sound right. Mine has a great sound with a variety of source material. I set the bass at straight up on the dial, the satellites at around 30% of full volume and it sounds really great. Louder sounds great too, but not uncontrollable.
