regener8klipsch
Hi, I've got a pair of Klipsch 3 way PA speakers I recently bought and they will be used ocsaisionally by inexperienced mixers = how can I best fuse them to protect them? they will be powered by a Crown Amp of a nicely matched power rating! thanks again, I've seen so much good info here! 1504-5
See page 5 section 3.6 of the attached EV 7100 manual. EV_7100_Amplifier_Manual.pdf
colterphoto1
put the proper fuse i the speakers, put an inline compressor/limiter in the signal path between the mixer's outputs and amps inputs. Set this for the maximum loudness you're willing to put through your speakers or just before the amp clips, whichever is lower. DBX 166XL I think has both functions in it.
