robi
new 6,5" vs old 8" : what is better as front channel?????
colterphoto1
I'd use a center that best matched the sound of your main L/R speakers. R3650 is Reference series compatible.
Thaddeus Smith
I used the r3650's as front L/R speakers for a while. They were good, but underwhelming for the front stage. 3 years later, I still have them but as surrounds and they are kicking *** in that position. Certainly not as robust as some of the dedicated box surrounds or bookshelf speakers, but given my room constraints they perform quite well. I don't know that you could ever covince me to use in-walls for my front stage.
robi
Given my room constraints i have to use in wall speakers (front, center, surround). I have the opportunity to buy R3650 (new 6,5") or SCW3 (old 8") at the same price for front. What is better as front channels????? What I have to buy as front channels?????? Thank you !!!! robi
Many thanks guys!!!! I'm going to install the R3650 in a very thick wall (near 20") made by rock. So I would ask: what's the correct volume that I've to use for the best sound???? I've to use some damping stuff in it????
Thaddeus Smith
honestly, i'd contact klipsch support and see what they say. i think they'll be your best resource in this scenario.
