Greedo12
I have a KLF-C7 and am in the process of upgrading various speakers in a HT environment. The current setup includes RB5-II's for a front pair, and RS-7's for side surrounds. The eventual goal is to relocate the 5's to rear surround duty, and to add RF-7's as the front pair. My question is, would you recommend that the centre channel be "upgraded" to the RC-7? Will the sound be noticably different? More of a tonal match for the Reference line? Thanks in advance for your help.
boa12
g, yes definitely rc-7 is the designed tonal/voice/timbre match for the rf-7, & a better match for the rb over the C7. of course as our horned has done & pointed out the ideal match because 75% or more of total sound comes from the center channel in HT movies, would be the same speak as the mains, such as an rf-7 to match the mains. but this requires some work on the speaker, & imo for the reference line is beneficial really only if you have an adjustable crossover in your processor/receiver. ------------------ My Home Systems Page This message has been edited by boa12 on 06-08-2002 at 12:18 PM
