gold824 Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 Sorry I am new at this.......I have klipsch rf-82's and v-35's and a yamaha rx-a3010 (9.2) reciever should I run 2 sets of speaker wire to each speaker and connect them all to thier own amp on the reciever? (is that what bi-amping is?) and will it hurt the speakers or does it make a difference in sound ......thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
derrickdj1 Posted January 15, 2013 Share Posted January 15, 2013 Bi-amp is using one amp on the HF driver and another on the LF driver. This requires the use of more amps and is of marginal benefit without and active external xo. Bi-wiring is removing the jumper on the speakers and running one wire from the HF drive and one from the LF drive that terminate into the one speaker's input terminal. Here is a picture of bi-amping.
