rjsilva
I finally performed the first crossover modification described on this thread which is intended to reduce the tweeter and squawker output of the Heresy I: http://community.klipsch.com/forums/t/21971.aspx I had initially asked about it on this thread - http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/p/172853/1948808.aspx. The thread became kind of long, but it was generally agreed that the second modification is better. However, I had just bought new caps and didn't want to spend any more money. The first modification still makes the Heresy I's less squawky which is what I wanted. I can't say that I'm sold on the sound of the Heresy's though! The squawker sounds great, but they seem extremely directional and not as balanced as I'd like. If anyone has any tips on speaker positioning I'd appreciate it. I'd love to hear some Klipschorns to get a real feel for the heritage sound. I've attached a photo of my rough modification for those interested. If anyone sees a problem please don't hesitate to say something.
