hotsho111
Hey everyone, I've had a promedia 4.1 set for nearly 14 years and a few years ago I had to repair it a bit (https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/130304-r12-blown-resistor-replacement/) and it's running into issues again. I'm gonna try fixing it but I had a quick question. Anyone try to hook these up to a receiver (possibly a mini component one)? I know the speakers are 4ohm resistance which can cause some issues. I would imagine for the sub I could just remove the plate amp, and buy a small amp to use to power it instead. What size amp would be good for the sub? This probably wouldn't be a long term solution and would work until I could find a set of speakers to possibly replace them (no idea if that will ever happen though hah). I'm looking for a mini receiver since this is hooked up to my computer so I'd rather not have a bulky receiver. Also, in the past (when I was repairing the sub the last time) I hooked up speakers to the zone 2 on my home theater receiver (RX-A810).
