Cyclonic Flow
I've had my promedia 4.1 system for little over a year and it has worked great until the other day. I just noticed that my right front and rear ports don't work. I thought maybe it was the speakers and switched them around but the problem remained the same. Also if I put on headphones the right side of my headphones doesn't work either. Did a fuse or something of that nature go bad? What can I do to fix this problem? I sure hate to have to go and buy a whole new system. Thanks for any help on the subject.
justin_tx_16
not a fuse, that would leave the whole system non working. switch the cables that go into the back of the computer, to make sure it is not the sound card. if it is'nt, make sure the speakers are fully plugged in, make sure the control pod cable is secure. still does not work? unplug the power to the system, let it sit for a while, not more than a few minutes. plug it back in, does it work? no? your amp is bad. could be... 1. loose cable 2. bad solder, leads to a loose cable 3. amp just died 4. something i am missing. hope this fixes the problem... if not, jene sais pas ------------------ -justin SoundWise Support A technical help site created by me and my fellow Klipschers promediatech@Klipsch.com /1-888-554-5665 - RA# 800-554-7724 ext 5 s>
Cyclonic Flow
Ahaa! Thanks to you Justin I found the problem. For some reason in order to get all four of my speakers to work I have to have the attactchment that combines two ports into one. After I read you post I was checking connections and thought maybe this was bad...I replaced it and voila! Now my system is working again.
