skonopa
Just today, I picked up the collector's edition of Warcraft III, which is an excellent RTS type computer game. The collectors edition includes, among other things, a CD containing 15 tracks from the game's soundtrack. Just out of curiousity, I played the sound track CD in my stereo. I was totally impressed with the quality of the tracks contain on this CD, especially track 8 (Cinema Suite), which is a good 15 minutes long. Most of the music is of a contemparary, symphonic nature (very much in the realm of "classical") My RF-7s rendered the music with absolutely beautiful clarity, power and authority. My REL did a superb job holding up the bottom end! After listening to this, all I could say was, "wow!" If you are at all interested in this game, it is worth the few extra bucks to get the collectors edition. I thought the soundtrack CD along was worth the extra money! The collectors edition also includes a gorgeous book showing alot of artwork from the Warcraft series, a set of four lithographs (I'll have to find some good frames for them), a DVD containing the cinematic sequeances from the game remastered in full Dolby Digital and wide-screen format. I guess now time to actually play the game ------------------ Steven Konopa Fredericksburg, VA Denon AVR3802 (Receiver) RF-7 (Fronts) RC-7 (Center) RC-7 (Rear) RS-7 (A Surrounds) Infinity RS2000.5 (B Surrounds - recycled) REL Storm III (Subwoofer 1) Yamaha YST-SW40 (Subwoofer 2 - Recycled) JVC XV-S65GD (DVD) Sharp DX-200 (CD - ancient) RCA DWD490RE (DirecTV/Ultimate TV receiver) Sharp 32 inch (TV)
