Serious questions about RF-52 II

I opened the speaker for remake and stumbled to some strange things, first the speaker box is not wooden or veneere, its made of pressed cardboard like the very low end ones, covered with veneere look alike layer, second its specified as 8 ohm speaker when in fact its woofers are connected in parallel 6 ohms each, so resulting in 3 ohm !! speaker. Treble is 6 ohms. Crossover frequency is marked as 1700khz but crossover low pass is around 800-900hz and high pass is 5khz. ?? I work daily with sound and light electronics as designer and repairer and all this looks like a cheat to me. Has anybody any explonations, they are surely original Klipasch speakers as their full of stamps and markings as Klipsch and bought from big dealer 2 years ago. Looks extremely good, high quality in detail.
