audiophileman
Hi everyone, and thanks for the help on the thx speakers. I am buying a pair of RF-7 ii and the RC-64 ii center. After all the testing of the thx speakers I am planning on searching for a pair of the RS-62 ii rear surrounds. While all this was going on I forgot to mention, that this will be for music and Dolby Atmos for home theater. In the meantime, I have been reading as much as I can on atmos. If I understand right Dolby wants you to use all direct radiating monopole speakers. So I don't know if you can use bipoles for rear surround or not with atmos. I'm not sure if they meant just for the height channels or every speaker. So I am hoping some of you have experience with this and can please let me know. I sent an e-mail to Dolby about a week ago, and of course so far no response. I am replacing every speaker in my system so it is important to know this information before I buy. Maybe some of you have bipoles for the rear in an atmos system and can let me know if you are satisfied with the results. My equipment is a Marantz 8802a pre-amp and some vintage high powered Hafler Transnova series amps. Thanks for the help. Audiophileman. derrickdj1
You can use the dipoles for surround back speakers and FH/FW.
