Are the RF-3's connected to the sub, so you are filtering their signal, or is the sub connected directly to your pre-amp/receiver? Dual purpose for 2 channel and home theater Dolby Digital, Dolby D6.1, DTS, DTS ES. Right now the cross over is set at 100hz and the sub is "in phase" whith the Rf3's. Sub is a JBL. boa12 Posted September 12, 2002 Share Posted September 12, 2002 ap, does that yammy have a control to send LFE (not just low bass) to both the sub & front speakers? if so do you have it on both? that's anice feature i've heard some yammy models have. w/ that you can use the sub's crossover & not have to worry about cutting lfe since it also goes to the fronts. though there could be issues about overloading the rf-3 w/ that lfe. if you have that though, you may want to set it to LFE- both, & dial down the sub cross around 50-55hz. set your fronts as large. then try dif 2-channel music & 5.1 stuff & see how it sounds. the general rule is to cross the sub at about 10-15hz above the low capability of the main speakers. but really try dif control settings w/ dif stuff. best way to find out for you is some experimentation. ------------------ My Home Systems Page Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Rf3's have dealt with the load quite well. I will crank the sub down, I was thinking that it should start to pick up where the mains leave off.
