viperv21
I'm thinking about getting the Pioneer Elite VSX-41 AV Receiver. I keep getting different quotes on the wattage the receiver has. Some people say 110x6, some say 100x6, and 80x6. Has anyone bought this receiver? What is the true rating? Is this receiver even worth getting? I will be using klipsch or jbl speakers. Any help would be appreciated. James
boa12
you'd be better off if you can get the current/amps capability. makers have a lot of freedom in how they measure & rate in watts. better yet, demo receivers, speaks, devices w/ your stuff at home. otherwise you're just rolling the dice to some degree or another. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
dougdrake
Seems Pioneer is confused about this as well. Their web site shows both the 110x6 and 100x6 on the specs page, one figure in the text and another in the "bulletized" list. boa12
sounds like a class i had in college. in the book, the text said one thing & the summary boxes said another. that allowed me to contest the tests & get my course grade changed from a C to a B. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
